Can You Overcome Your Deepest, Darkest Fears With Hypnosis?

We all have fears. Some people experience their fear on an almost daily basis, others only get afraid every now and then, but when they do it becomes a big issue in their life. Yet others have fears that stop them from doing things such as leaving the house or flying in a plane.

Quite often when you sit down and talk with someone about their fear, they know that it doesn’t make any real sense and they have difficulty putting their phobia into words. But that doesn’t stop it from rearing its ugly head at every available opportunity.

So the question is, can you use hypnosis to overcome your deepest fears?

The simple answer is “yes”. But knowing that may not be enough to actually help it to work. Our rational minds kick in and decide that “there must be more to it”. After all, if you start worrying hours or even days before you’re due to give a report at work, it stands to reason that there is something more than mindless panic involved.

The thing is, your body is trying to protect you from some future problem. Regardless of whether that problem is real or imagined. And it does this by generating fear at the very thought of that problem even possibly occurring. And it’s good at this – it’s got form, it’s had practice and done the deed before. So it knows the buttons to push inside you and it can push them at will and as hard as it likes. You don’t really have much say in the matter at a conscious level, you just have to go with the flow or do your best to ignore all the signals your body is sending out.

Hypnosis doesn’t care that the rational answer is that the fear shouldn’t be there in the first place.

Instead, it works with the part of your body that is going through undue panic and distress at the mere thought of whatever it is you’re afraid of happening in your life.

It does this by removing your conscious, thinking mind from the equation. Which, if you think about it for more than a few seconds, is the correct approach. After all, if your conscious mind could put a stop to your fear, it would have done so long ago.

Instead, hypnosis will work with the part of your mind that does things on autopilot. The same level that means that you can breathe without having to think “Gee, my lungs are empty, better fill them up again” umpteen times a minute. Over time, it will help change the way you deal with these problem situations until you can actually get to the stage where you’re wondering why you were worried about that phobia in the first place.

It may take a couple of times to listen to a hypnosis download. Or it may take a few more times. But each time you listen to a track, you’ll experience your fear reducing. Over time, your fear literally runs away and stops bothering you.

5 Ways to Change Your Life For the Better With Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a powerful thing. It works at a deep level of our consciousness and can help you to make changes that you haven’t managed by just thinking things like “I’m going to lose weight” or “I’m going to be more successful”. Here are just a few of the ways you can change your life for the better with hypnosis.

1. Get rid of annoying habits

These could be anything from eating too much, biting your nails, constantly smoking or anything else that you do at a less-than-conscious level. The best way to get rid of an annoying habit is to invest a few dollars in a hypnosis track that has been purpose written for that particular habit. There are hundreds of these available, professionally written and recorded, at a fraction of the cost of visiting your local hypnotist. With the added advantage that you can play the hypnosis download as often as you want. Plus no-one else will know you’re using hypnosis to conquer your habit.

2. Boost your confidence and self esteem

Almost everyone would like to increase their self confidence and raise their self esteem. In much the same way as getting rid of habits, there are specially written hypnosis recordings that will tackle almost any aspect of your self confidence or shyness. This isn’t limited to generalities. You can also use this kind of track to get over any nerves you may be having about an upcoming exam or a speech or presentation that you need to give. Play the track to yourself shortly before the event that you’d previously have worried about and watch your worries melt away.

3. Overcome fears and phobias

Oftentimes we learn a fear or phobia when we are young, although they can also be brought on by traumatic events in later life. Because hypnosis works directly with your subconscious mind – the part of your brain that leaps for the shortcut every time it encounters something it thinks you should be afraid of – this has a high success rate and doesn’t need you to indulge in expensive pills or drugs.

4. Relax more and sleep better

Almost every hypnosis session starts by putting you into a state of relaxation so it figures that it can be a major help with relaxation. Most hypnosis sessions to help you relax just extend the initial “induction” and then get you to relax even deeper. Hypnosis to overcome insomnia works in much the same way, relaxing you and then helping you to drift off to sleep. Obviously the tracks that are designed to help you sleep better don’t have the usual “it’s time to wake up” call at the end – that would be pointless!

5. Help with pain and illness

Pain can be completely in your mind – even the doctors recognize this when they talk about people experiencing pain in phantom limbs. Trouble is, you can’t usually rationalize this away without help. The reaction of pain is too deep seated. Hypnosis can help with phantom pains. It can also help with the real life variety as well – anything from the piercing problem of a migraine headache through to pain in your limbs due to degenerative or other diseases. There also people who’ve got through giving birth without any help from modern medicine but instead purely using the power of hypnosis.

Can You Really Get What You Want With The Power Of Suggestion?

Suggestion is a powerful thing and the power of suggestion is often used in hypnosis. So, the question on everyone’s lips is how to get what you want with the power of suggestion.

1. Our mind takes things literally

Sure, we like to think of ourselves as intelligent creatures but the low down is that our mind often isn’t as intelligent as we would like to think it is. Most all the time it will process things in the order they are received, even if it’s been asked not to. So if I ask you not to think about the marsh mallow man in Ghostbusters, there’s a very high chance that you’ll have to visualize that giant mallow marauding the streets before you can get rid of the thing. Cheap trick? Maybe. But you can use this kind of negative suggestion to do all sorts of things. But you wouldn’t want me to do that to your mind, would you?

2. Confusion reigns

Along with being dumber than your IQ test suggests, your mind is also easily confused. Which is great for people like magicians and hypnotists. Conjurers confuse our mind by misdirecting it. Hypnotists confuse us with words. Often words that are scrunched up into a sentence or two that is deliberately designed to confuse the heck out of you. If that doesn’t make total sense, that’s good. But chances are it wasn’t too bad because I wasn’t mixing my metaphors. Start doing that and using words that intentionally have different meanings if only they weren’t being used in this particular context and our brains lock down in confusion mode. Even better if two of you can do this and each speak at the same time wth two complex stories to follow. Which you’ll come across on more than one hypnosis track that wants to use its power to persuade you about something.

3. Repeat after me…

Repetition is great. The more something is repeated the more our minds are persuaded by it. That’s why advertisers don’t just run their adverts once. Once is definitely not enough! From an early age, we learn by repeating things until we get them right. The same process works right the way through our lives. So you can suggest something to someone but the more often you suggest it, the more powerful it becomes. It turns from a barely noticed blip on their horizon through to a slight nag and eventually to a fully held belief.

How to Mind Control a Person – 5 Methods to Control Minds Without Using Hypnosis

How to mind control a person? Be honest, that’s a question that’s crossed your mind at least occasionally. But bBefore we start, let’s be clear that we’re not talking about brainwashing someone here. Just doing enough to be able to control the direction their mind takes so that we’re in control of at least that portion of their mind. Let’s leave the total control of minds to science fiction movies!

1. Be an authority figure

It’s so much easier for authority figures to control our minds. We just plain believe them, no matter how much our minds know that they don’t know much, if anything, more than we do. Otherwise those actors in white coats pretending to be doctors wouldn’t influence us to buy their brand of pain killer. Even though it’s identical to the shop brand in everything except price.

2. Emotional blackmail

Moving swiftly on to the nasty stuff here! We learn this from a very early age – children cry to get our attention and then weave their spell on us so that we buy them candy or the latest toy. But this doesn’t stop once we’re grown up. Emotional blackmail can be subtle or it can be subtle as a brick. It doesn’t matter. We all have emotional buttons that can be pushed and when that happens, the person doing the pushing is controlling out mind whether we realize it or not.

3. Expand the other person’s beliefs

This is probably one of the easiest ways to control someone’s mind. Slip a few things into the conversation that embellish ideas they’ve already got. People fixate on things anyway, so helping push that fixation a bit further is quite easy.

4. Expand the dream

Advertisements do this all the time – they expand our dreams. OK, almost no-one believes that they’ll “get the girl” just by applying a spray on deodorant (and the one guy who did believe it had his case thrown out of court) but that doesn’t stop advertisers playing on our dreams of being drop dead gorgeous to the opposite sex. We all believe dreams and fiction and we usually believe them quite easily, so this is a very simple form of mind control. And you don’t have to hypnotize your victim to get away with it.

5. Repetition

Say something often enough and chances are that you’ll start to believe it. It’s the basis of lots of self help methods – “fake it until you make it” – and it’s a surprisingly effective way of controlling someone’s mind. Teachers are good at this. They have their own subtle ways of putting you down, hewn to perfection by years of practice. And because they’re an authority figure. that just compounds out willingness to believe them. But you can do this without the benefit of being an authority figure. Keep taunting someone or saying something over and over and over again and their mind will start to believe you. Even easier if you can get a couple of friends or work colleagues to join in.

Hypnosis Mind Control – Cool Tricks to Control People’s Minds

Hypnosis mind control doesn’t work in real life in quite the same way as it does in the movies. So if you’re expecting to be able to take over someone’s mind and turn them into a living zombie, you’re probably going to be disappointed. But that doesn’t mean you can’t control their mind in more subtle ways. Advertisers do this all the time – now it’s your turn!

1. Help people day dream

Our resistance levels go down when someone tells us a story. After all, stories are fictional aren’t they? But by telling a story, you can control the way the mind works at a deep level. The hypnotist Milton Erickson was famous for doing this – the whole Ericksonian method revolves around weaving stories that relate to the problem the person is trying to resolve. You don’t have to go as deep as this – simply asking someone to imagine something is a good start and you can often see them drift off or watch as their gaze changes. Of course, once they’re day dreaming they’re ripe for you to plant hypnotic suggestions and control parts of their mind.

2. Use embedded commands

These aren’t as technical as they sound. You may like to think of them as subtle changes in the way things are phrased. Such as that last sentence where I suggested that “you may like” which was the preface to the embedded command of “think of them”. Play around with the way you phrase things and you can start to weave commands into a lot of sentences you use. Or you can use them in the third person such as “I was telling Bill that he had to learn to relax more often” – if you use a subtle change of emphasis for the italicised part of that sentence, you’re actually using it to begin to control the mind of the person you’re speaking to.

3. Use a post hypnotic suggestion

Teachers and parents are good at this even if they don’t realize it. A few words such as “you’ll never be any good at playing the piano” go a lot further in our minds. The words get dragged down into our subconscious mind which, in turn, starts to believe them and make them come true.

4. Paint pictures in people’s minds

Not physically of course, that would be daft! But help them to imagine a scenario, even if they almost instantly dismiss it. Our imagination is vivid given even half a chance. Help your subjects to imagine things – embellish on the pictures they’re already drawing in their own mind and then use that state of heightened imagination to casually drop in whatever it is you really want to do. As with embedded commands, you can use other people and objects in their imagination as “hooks” for what you really want to happen.

5. Make the idea seem as though it was theirs

Really sneaky. After all, you pursue your own ideas much more readily than someone else’s. Learn to “seed” ideas into other people’s minds and then sound pleasantly surprised when, in a few days or weeks, they come up with the suggestion you planted as if it was their own idea. They won’t remember that you planted the seed of the idea earlier. This works remarkably well and gets much better results than almost anything else I’ve suggested. Sure, it may take a bit of time but the results are so powerful that they’re well worth the wait.

Easy to Learn Self Hypnosis Techniques That Anyone Can Use

If you want to learn self hypnosis techniques there are a number of different ways to go about it. if you’re the kind of person who learns well from books, you could start your quest with Amazon. There’s a good selection there and you can check the feedback from other people as well.

But if you prefer to learn using a mixture of reading, audios and videos then here are some suggestions for you.

1. Start with pre-recorded MP3s

These are available inexpensively and are an excellent place to start learning self hypnosis. For less than the price of a pizza, you have access to a professionally recorded self hypnosis session that tackles the precise problem you’re trying to cure. A lot of people don’t go any further than this when they realize just how easy it is to hypnotize yourself with these hypnosis downloads. But they can also be an excellent model for your own hypnosis sessions. They allow you to test out different hypnotic induction methods and see which works best for you.

2. Get hold of a pre-written script

Again, these are a great place to start as – providing you’re careful where you buy them – you can be certain that they’re professionally written and will contain the right series of commands to put you into a hypnotic trance and carry out the instructions that you want to happen. All you need then is to record the session on your computer – the built in microphone is OK for this although if you’re doing regular recordings it will pay to get a better model – and transfer the file to your iPod or burn it to CD. Your version of Windows may have some sound recording software but if it doesn’t then get hold of Audacity which is free and top quality.

3. Start writing your own inductions

The hypnotic induction is the method you use to put yourself into a hypnotic trance. These are probably the easiest place to start when you move away from pre-written scripts as the wording isn’t as critical as the main hypnosis session itself. Model your hypnotic induction on some of the recordings you’ve already bought or ones that you’ve enjoyed using. Most of the time, you’ll start with breathing deeply as this will begin to relax you. Then find a peaceful, tranquil location. Explore it, notice the feelings, sights, sounds and smells. Heighten your sense of awareness of these but also allow yourself to relax and go deeper into hypnosis. Maybe use a deepener such as going down a set of stairs and moving deeper into trance as you progress down them.

4. Move on to the main scripts

These need to be carefully worded. Make sure that any commands you place are unambiguous. Our subconscious mind has great difficulty processing negatives – if I say to you don’t think about that white rabbit racing around saying “I’m late” then you have to bring that image to mind before you can dispose of it. Keep everything positive wherever possible and make sure that there is only one potential outcome of any statement. If you begin to use negatives, go through and re-word them. This is really important!

5. Maybe start hypnotizing other people

OK, so this isn’t self hypnosis any longer but it’s the logical extension. Like everything else, it’s something you need to practice. The good news is that the other person will have their eyes closed for most of the session, so there’s nothing stopping you having some notes to refer to while you’re doing this!

How to Hypnotize Someone Instantly (Honest!)

You’ve seen instant hypnosis on television before. Maybe where the stage hypnotist says “sleep” and the person instantly goes into what looks like a sleep mode. But is this something anyone can do? Can you really hypnotize someone instantly?

The short answer to this question is “yes”.

There are certain methods of hypnotic induction that work near enough instantly. OK, it may take you a few times to practice this to perfection but the good news is that it can be done.

The main basis for instant hypnotic induction is called a pattern interrupt. Whenever we do anything habitually, we’re running a pattern – a bit like a computer runs programs. Because it would be too much like hard work for us to re-learn everything every time we needed to use it. So, instead, we learn what to do and then remember how we did that the previous time.

Pattern interruption does exactly what it says on the tin. It interrupts that pattern or program just long enough to cause confusion in the other person’s mind and this is what lets them drop into an almost instant hypnotic trance.

Remember when you were young. When you went to shake someone’s hand in the playground but at the last minute you put your hand up to your face and blew a raspberry at them instead? That’s near enough a text book pattern interrupt hypnotic induction.

The other person is expecting you to shake their hand but at the last minute you do something unexpected – maybe grasp their hand and bring it up to their eyes, telling them to focus on the palm of their hand as you do this. There are variations of this that you can use and there are some (mostly over the top) videos on Youtube that you can watch.

You then have a short window of opportunity to throw in your hypnotic command whilst the other person’s mind is trying to work out what happened. If you go down this route, the gap doesn’t last long, so make the most of it. It’s far better to use the gap to tell them that they’re now in a state of hypnosis and to command them to go deeper. Practice – you’ll be surprised how often this works, precisely because it’s unexpected behavior and breaks the patterns that we run.

The key to all this is that you’re breaking the other person’s patterns and using the brief moment of confusion to take control of the situation. Enjoy!

Hypnotic Suggestions – Is it Really Possible to Get People to Do What You Want Just by Suggestion?

There’s a lot of things talked about using hypnotic suggestion to get other people to do what you want. Sometimes it’s also called conversational hypnosis. But is it really possible to hypnotize people just by talking to them?

The short answer to this question is “yes”.

Certain patterns of words are treated by our brains as instructions or commands. In hypnosis and it’s cousin NLP these are called embedded commands.

So, do you want an example of an embedded command?

If that’s the case, there’s one in the sentence above!

Although it sounds like a question, there’s actually a command in that statement as well: the words “want an example of an embedded command” are treated by your brain as if it does actually want this to happen.

If you study television adverts closely, you’ll begin to spot a lot of this kind of wording. It’s hiding in plain sight but, as a consequence, actually passes under our critical radar.

Simply turning commands into questions works a lot of the time.

Another easy trick is to turn your imagination on. Because we’re used to our imagination being linked to stories, our conscious mind takes a rest when it thinks we’re being told a story. So it’s really easy to imagine that hypnotic suggestions can be sent direct to our subconscious simply by telling a story.

Using your imagination is fun but beware if you’re asked to use it in a serious context – just imagine what would happen if you let your mind run riot without your conscious thoughts getting in the way.

Which, of course, was another embedded command or hypnotic suggestion!

How to Hypnotize People – The Truth About Hypnosis Tools

What really comes in your mind when you hear the phrase of rocking pendulum? The tenure ‘Hypnosis tools’ is a good example of it. At the same time the pendulum can be one of the types of hypnosis tool used in the method of instigation of hypnosis, the term name ‘hypnosis tools’ do have a varied implication. Another option, the phrase refers different types in which hypnosis can really be used for. Envision the type of therapy to eradicate additional habits such as drinking, smoking or else eating.

Something More About the Hypnosis Tools

The utilization of the hypnosis tool is very effectual as well as feasible method of therapies which are being known for long time. All over the years, loads of people have experimented hypnosis which have come out in positive manner. Hypnotic proposals are normally influenced on emotions, behavior, physiologic process, sensations, imagery, cognition and relationships. Around the year 1958, the American Medical Association known as AMA officially agreed hypnosis to use like an appearance in treatment of all areas regarding surgical treatment and remedy.

In addition, hypnosis tools are several of the oldest forms of treating in this world, as they go as far beyond around to prehistoric Egypt, and in veracity the Ebers Papers, one of the oldest human being writings, nearly dated 300BC, depicts the use of hypnosis in the treatment of human sickness.

Misunderstandings regarding Hypnosis Tools

The undulation of pendulum, mad scientist in addition to mind control has been linked many times with hypnosis tools. The growing disapproval hypnosis customary over the years has situated hypnosis tools beneath bad light. Yet, it desires to be identified that nothing is beyond from the truth while to these mythology, and that hypnosis is a usual state of awareness that we have all been in previous to anyway.

An individual who is beneath the initiation of hypnosis is entirely alert of his or else her environment and they are even more amenable to suitable implications. The mind is only concerted on these suggestions as well as nothing else, and is much akin more to being deeply anxious in a movie or reading any good book for case in point, where you are essentially ignorant of the diverse things going on about you.

Hypnosis is not a sort of magician’s trick nor is it a type of mind command. Hypnosis, an extremely helpful thing and hypnosis tools have loads of capability to do many of goods for you in countless different ways of your existence.

Hypnosis Mind Control – How to Control Other People’s Minds With Hypnosis

Using hypnosis to control other people’s minds is probably the most difficult technique to master. Here we’ll look at some of the easier methods to get you on your way with hypnotic mind control. It should also be obvious that you need to be ethical when you use hypnosis to begin to control other people’s minds. Karma definitely “goes around” and if you aren’t ethical, you’re likely to suffer the effects of bad karma. OK, that’s the scary bit out of the way…

One of the easiest ways to take control of someone’s mind is by using stories. We do this every time we watch a good movie or get engrossed in a book, so having our minds controlled by stories is something that most people are used to.

You don’t have to be a top story teller to do this. You can just weave parts of the story into your everyday conversation. For instance, if you use an anecdote you’re actually using a fragment of a story. This was used to good effect in a three day training course I attended a few years ago. Apart from delivering quality content, the main focus of the course was to sell advanced training and there happened to be 6 elements to this advanced training. Several times over the course of the training, the presenter mentioned how he was glad that when he was learning the subject he had spent his money with someone who had taught him all he knew over the course of six different trainings. This was subtly woven into his presentation and my guess is that most of the audience didn’t realize they were being pitched with a sales message when the presenter used these anecdotes. But judging by the lines that formed when it was announced that the courses were available, a good percentage of the audience’s subconscious had recognized the pitch and decided that the best way to get ahead was to sign up for all six advanced trainings.

You can use this in near enough any sales pitch you make. Whether it’s a formal selling situation, such as a business to business sale, or a less formal one, such as telling your child that they’re not going to be allowed to play their favorite video game until they’ve done their school homework.

Another way to ethically use hypnosis mind control is to establish links between a wanted outcome – such as quitting smoking – and an unwanted side effect. This is how a lot of stop smoking hypnosis works. We all know that the health warnings on the side of cigarette packets don’t work very well (if they did, governments would lose too much tax revenue) but if an unwelcome “trigger” can be associated with smoking a cigarette, that’s a different matter. So the hypnotist might link the color red with an unpleasant event. In turn this link will be brought up in your subject’s mind every time they reach for their cigarette packet. If the brand is different, just associate a different color.

Another simple way to control someone’s mind is to use what are known as embedded commands. These are very effective because you can link them up with negatives so that the person’s conscious mind doesn’t work out that you’re telling them to do the opposite thing. So when you say “Of course, you wouldn’t want to sign the contract at this moment” you’re actually commanding them to sign the contract.

This kind of embedded command also gets past regulators. Going back to our smoking example, one of the health warnings in the UK is a simple “Don’t start”. Cross out the negative word and it’s a very effective command to “Start”. How’s that for controlling lots of people’s minds?

An advertisement I saw recently said that the face cream they were selling “won’t give you the effect of a face lift”. Which is 100% true. The only trouble is that the underlying hypnosis was saying “give you the effect of a face lift”. Again, a great example of hypnotic mind control.

Of course, this means that you need to be careful what you say.

There’s a very good chance that some of your current wording is unintentionally giving out hypnotic commands and controlling other people’s minds without you even being aware.

If you tell a small child not to drop their drink, the first thing that will go through their mind is the vision of the drink falling to the floor. Hmmm. Maybe you ought to tell them to hold their drink safely next time instead?

We’ve only scratched the surface here of using hypnosis to control other people’s minds. You can explore this further if you want to and begin to learn how to use what is often termed covert or conversational hypnosis to improve your life and the lives of other people. As you’ve seen, it’s not particularly covert – the words are out in the open for everyone to hear, but maybe that’s what makes it so powerful.
